Permit activity was pretty steady this week, with increased interest in Kodiak seine permits (offers of $25,000, lowest asking price is $30,000), and Kodiak Tanner permits for the upcoming January season. We have a Tanner permit to 60' listed at $80,000 and a permit to 120' at $120,000, and an offer of $12,000 for an EMT. There were new offers for charter permits, more price reductions, and a few new listings. Check them out below!
Bristol Bay drift permits appear to have settled in the $130,000 range, with another sale this week at $132,000, and buyers interested in that same range. In Cook Inlet, we have a new offer of $26,000 for a drift permit, which is up slightly from the last sale at $25,000 last month. We've seen increased interest in charter halibut permits recently, with a new offer of $70,000 for a 3A 4-angler permit, and a standing offer of $75,000 for a 5-angler.
In fishing news, the 2023/2024 Southeast and Yakutat commercial winter troll fishery will open October 11 and run through March 15 or until harvest limits are met.
